I feel One should travels for two things - To see new places and understand the people that reside there - Culture, food, lifestyle and thougths. A place without people is a like a body without a Soul.
The people in Uttaranchal are very friendly. I dont know - if it's because of tourism or its genuine. I felt the second was right. The people of Uttarnchal Stood Out in my journey to make it worth every bit of it , In all terms of it- Hospitality, food, info and help.
Would like to Thank few people for making the journey special: Anuj ( Professional Adventurist and can surely help you plan your trip -09411384804, Ram Singh - Hotel incharge @Joshimath and excellent cook, Vishal and Ruchir for their important tips and Billoo the Horse @ Auli.
And offcourse to the unknown ones....
“What most people need to learn in life is how to love people and use things instead of using people and loving things"

Awesome!
Uttaranchal has been a long cherished dream of mine and I hope to go there next year. I did Sikkim in 2006 and I promised myself Himachal or Uttaranchal would be next. Your blog has helped tipped the scales in favour of Uttaranchal for sure!
Your pix are fabulous and they make me wanna pack up and leave today!!! Thank you.
You've put up a lot of info already but maybe you could put some more about the places you stayed at and means of transport you used to get from place to place.
